Site Preparation

Site prep refers to the multistep construction process of all the prep work you do prior to construction on a site. It can involve site surveying, grading, leveling, clearing land, drainage, earthmoving, and demolition.

Residential/Commercial Dig Outs

We do lots of residential and commercial dig outs. These are most commonly foundation dig outs for new house in all the PNW areas. Elkhorn Construction excavator operators are very precise in the dig outs and make sure they are all perfection.

Detention Systems

Detention systems are used to help better filtrate an overage of water drainage. They slow the flow of water down on a heavy rainstorm to reduce the flooding at homes, creeks, and rivers downstream. Commonly used for homes on a steep hill or neighborhoods in steep terrain.

Snow De-Icing/Plowing

Every snowy season in the PNW especially in the big cities can be a disaster! We are subbed out with Snugs Services and get dispatched to deice the majority of Portland and surrounding areas. We use all our work trucks; hook plows up and get the deicer spraying out the back and work throughout the day/nights to make the city safer for YOUR vehicles to travel!

Underground Utilities

Underground utility installations facilitate the movement of materials such as; potable water, sewage, electricity, chemicals, steam, compressed gaseous materials, natural gas, fuels and communications like internet, entertainment or telephone.

Demolition

We take part in lots of demos! Old or outdated houses that may be cheaper just to get rid of or even houses/buildings that are not safe to be around anymore. We take our excavators and water trailers out and take apart the building without creating dust and haul away, then fill the old foundation area with rock and flatten then compact it! Good as new.

Pool Decommission/Dig outs

Pool decommissioning is a fun way to upgrade a space. We take old pools that are not in use anymore, whether it be at a residential home or hotel and turn them into a more convenient area for use. We make relief cuts in the concrete after all water is drained and fill with rock, compact to the requirements then hand back over to the owner and a now more usable space.

Trucking Services

A portion of our business comes from trucking. Elkhorn Construction has multiple dump trucks that get subbed out to other companies for hauling uses or get used for our own sites. Hauling rock, dirt, brush, trees or whatever may be in big quantities on our workspace! We take lots of pride in our trucking side also. Being quick, efficient, and easy to communicate with – we are the ones you want to use!
